Protective Masks / Respirators

Aerospace composite operations generate a range of inhalation hazards: carbon fiber and fiberglass particulates from cutting and sanding, chemical vapors from resins, solvents, and surface prep agents, and organic vapors from adhesives and sealants. 3M™ respirators are the industry-standard PPE response — available as disposable filtering facepieces for particulate work and reusable half-facepiece systems with interchangeable cartridges for multi-hazard vapor and particulate protection.

NIOSH Approval & Fit Testing: All 3M™ respirators are NIOSH-approved. Reusable half-facepiece respirators require employer-administered fit testing per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 before use. Disposable N95/P100 models are designed for single use and require adjustment of the nose clip and headband for a proper seal each time. The valved version of the 8210 — adds 3M™'s Cool Flow™ exhalation valve to direct warm, moist exhaled air downward away from the face, reducing heat and moisture buildup inside the respirator during extended work. 3M™ Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 7500 Series

The premium 3M™ reusable half facepiece respirator — built from advanced silicone for a soft, comfortable seal that reduces pressure points on the face throughout full shifts. The 3M Cool Flow™ exhalation valve makes breathing easier and keeps the interior cool and dry. A dual-mode head harness adjusts easily to either standard or drop-down mode, allowing the respirator to hang around the neck in a non-contaminated area without removing a hard hat — ideal for intermittent use in composite layup and finishing environments. Three sizes (7501 Small, 7502 Medium, 7503 Large) accommodate most face shapes. The bayonet cartridge connection accepts the full range of 3M 6000 Series gas and vapor cartridges (organic vapor, acid gas, multi-gas), 2000/2200 Series particulate filters (P100 pink, P95 magenta), and combination cartridges that handle both particulates and vapors — covering the full spectrum of composite shop hazards from carbon fiber dust to epoxy vapors and solvent cleaning agents. The Quick Latch version of 3M's half facepiece respirator — adds a one-touch latch mechanism allowing the facepiece to be swung away from the face for quick removal during breaks or inspection without disconnecting the head harness. Returns to sealed position instantly when re-engaged. Uses the same bayonet connection system as the 6000 and 7500 Series for compatibility with the full range of 3M cartridges and filters. ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 3 — the highest ANSI visibility class for workers exposed to high-speed traffic or complex visual environments. Class 3 vests provide greater coverage area of fluorescent background material and wider, more complete retroreflective tape coverage around the torso and arms. Required for flight line personnel, fuel crew, and workers operating near taxiing aircraft or active runways where maximum contrast and 360° visibility at distance is essential. 3M Scotchlite™ tape is heat-transferred or sewn-on depending on the garment construction.

Wide-angle, exposed retroreflective lens film bonded to a heat-activated adhesive for application onto safety garments via heat press. The 8712 Series is printed with 3M trademarks on the backing for product authentication — confirming genuine Scotchlite material, not a counterfeit substitute. Used by safety garment manufacturers and corporate PPE programs to add or replace reflective trim on uniforms, coveralls, safety vests, and FR (flame-resistant) garments. The most durable product in 3M™'s floor marking tape portfolio — engineered specifically for high-traffic manufacturing environments with pallet jack and heavy equipment scuffing. A thick vinyl backing (17 mil) with a low profile resists curling and edge lift that shorten the life of thinner tapes. The rubber adhesive provides a strong, immediate bond to most floors but still allows clean one-piece removal when layout changes are needed — no residue, no floor damage. Linerless construction means it can be applied by hand or with the 3M Lane Marking Applicator M-1 without a release paper to deal with. Available in multiple widths (2", 3", 4") and vivid colors including yellow, red, blue, green, white, orange, and black — supporting full 5S color-coding protocols. Yellow
Traffic lanes, pedestrian aisles, vehicle pathways, general demarcation between work zones and transit areas.

Red
Defect, quarantine, reject, or do-not-use areas. Nonconforming materials storage and scrap staging zones.

Green
Good product, finished goods, ready-to-ship areas, and positive identification of compliant parts or materials.

The everyday workhorse for floor marking in moderate-traffic areas and general facility safety marking — lighter duty than 971 but ideal for pedestrian lanes, equipment boundaries, and area identification where heavy vehicle scuffing is not a factor. Flexible vinyl construction conforms to irregular, curved, and convex surfaces. Resists moisture and many chemicals. Available in a wide range of colors including safety yellow, red, orange, green, white, black, and blue.
